An ether phone, also called a tornado phone, is a magical method of communication. It resembles a tornado in a jar. If the person receiving a call does not have an ether phone themself, then the caller will appear as a translucent figure.[1] If the receiver does, then they will appear as a miniature figure inside the ether phone.[2]
An ether phone call can be hung up with earth magic, or with actual earth or metal.[1] It is, however, more conventional to use magic. If one has a physical ether phone during the call, they can hang up by turning the ether phone upside down.[2]
